How To Reset Your Electric Scooter – Try This Before Doing A Repair!
Is your electric scooter no longer working? Resetting your E-scooter can provide a simple solution to many common problems. You can often do this yourself with the right button combination. We list the reset procedure of the E-scooter models of which we know the reset procedure.
Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for resetting an electric scooter. Simply because resetting (for example) a VSETT scooter is different from a Xiaomi scooter.
Some electric scooters can be reset using the on/off button on the display. These switches act as multi-function keys allowing drivers to turn on and reset the scooter with the same button.
How to reset the Xiaomi Essential
If you have problems with the power switch or the Battery Management System (BMS) of the Xiaomi Essential, you can try to reset it by pressing a specific key combination.
Follow these instructions to reset the Mi Essential to factory settings:
Make sure the scooter is switched off. If not, press and hold the power key until the screen goes black;
Then press the gas, brake, and power buttons all at the same time. Hold them down for no more than three seconds;
Then a series of beeps will come from the display. Now a red 14 and a red wrench icon may appear on the screen;
Once all buttons and levers are released, the hard reset will be complete.
How to reset the Xiaomi Scooter 3
Follow the steps below in chronological order to reset your Xiaomi Scooter 3:
Make sure the scooter is switched off. If not, press and hold the power key until the screen goes black;
Hold down the power button, accelerator, and brake for five seconds;
After this, the red 14 and wrench icon may appear at the bottom of the screen;
Once all buttons and levers are released, the hard reset will be complete.
How to reset the Xiaomi Pro 2
With the following steps you reset the Xiaomi Pro 2 back to factory settings:
Turn on the scooter and press and hold the Power button until the screen goes black;
Then press the accelerator, brake, and power buttons at the same time. Hold them down for three to four seconds;
Then a series of beeps will come from the display. Now a red 14 and a red wrench icon may appear on the screen;
Once all buttons and levers are released, the hard reset will be complete.
Do you want to reset your Ninebot Max G30? To do this, follow these steps:
Start by switching on the scooter;
Then fully press the throttle and brake;
Then switch off the scooter again and release the brake and throttle; turn off the scooter and release the brake and throttle.
Once all buttons and levers are released, the hard reset will be complete and the scooter will be reset to factory settings.
How to reset the Xiaomi M365
If you have problems switching on or synchronizing the Xiaomi M365 with the Mi Home App, you can try to reset the scooter. To do this, follow the instructions below:
Make sure the scooter is switched off. If not, press and hold the power key until the screen goes black;
Then press the power button with both hands, while also pressing the throttle and brake. Hold them down for no more than three seconds;
Then a series of beeps will come from the display. Now a red 14 and a red wrench icon may appear on the screen;
Once all buttons and levers are released, the hard reset will be complete.
How to reset a Razor E-scooter
The main cause for resetting a Razor scooter is overload. If your scooter has failed, first try to switch it on again.
If this doesn’t work, you can try a reset. This reset button is located on the left side of the handlebar.
Pro Tip: the procedure may differ for every Razor model. Always check the manual before trying to reset the scooter.
