How To Store Your Electric Scooter In An Apartment? 3 Easy Solutions
When I came from college I lived in an apartment for many years before living together with my girlfriend.
Many people who live in major cities around the world live in (tiny) apartments, and use their electric scooters as their main means of transport
I get a lot of questions about where to best store your electric scooter when living in an apartment, so that’s what I’ll cover today, let’s go.
How to store your electric scooter in an apartment?
If you are reading this I assume you live in an apartment and need a place to store your scooter.
There are different options.
- If you have a big enough closet, you can fold your E-scooter and store it in the closet standing.
- There are hooks specifically for Electric scooters to hang them by the rear wheel. You need to be sure both the HOOk as well as your WALL are able to carry the weight of your E-scooter (you know how heavy they are)
- I have seen solutions on the internet where people fix a piece of plywood with a hook to the wall to help balance the weight of the scooter. It’s not the cleanest solution but it is effective.
- If you really don’t have the space to store it in your apartment and you have underground parking you can always store it with a disc lock, a chain lock through one of the wheels, and a cover over it. You can also install a good alarm system on it so it will scare anyone with bad intentions.
So those were the 3 solutions if you live in an apartment and you want to store your electric scooter inside of your apartment. I hope that helped.
