Razor E125 Review

The Razor E125 motorized electric scooter is the bigger brother of the E100. This electric scooter I made with kids in mind ages 10 to 14. Its slim, sleek design provides an attractive look and if you have a daughter she will love that it’s available in Pink.

The best electric scooter for a 10 year old

The Razor E125 doesn’t instantly start to drive electrically like other electric scooters, but it requires a manual push start up to 3 miles per hour before the electric motor kicks in. Once the electric motor is engaged the speed will boost at up to 10mph (16kmh). This moderate speed makes it safe for children 10 years and older. If your child is 8 or 9 years old I would recommend looking at the Razor E100 <— Click here

The Razor E125 has adjustable handlebars and a hand operated front brake. The handlebars can be adjusted upward or downward according to your child’s height for a smooth and safe ride.

The Razor E125 requires an initial charging time of 12 hours. After fully charging the scooter it will provide 40 minutes of driving fun at maximum speed. The weight of your child, the riding conditions, and the temperature are key factors which will affect the speed and capacity of an electric scooter, but during our test the Razor E125 lasted 38 minutes during constant (ab)use of my son.

Motor:

The Razor E125 Motorized Electric Scooter has a chain-driven 100w motor with high torque. This provides a speed of up to 10mph after engaging it with the kick-to-start. The E125 provides a save ride at moderate speed.

Battery:

The Razor E125 Motorized Electric Scooter has rechargeable 24v (two 12v) batteries. The charging time is 4-6 hours for optimal results.

Brakes:

A hand operated front brake makes it easy for your kid to control the scooter.

Display:

The Razor E125 doesn’t have a display.

Standard features:

Hand operated front brake and adjustable handlebars are nice features for a safe ride.

Suspension:

The Razor E125 Scooter has no suspension.

Tires:

This scooter has a 8-inch(200mm) pneumatic front tires and a 4.9-inch (125mm) pneumatic tire on a polyurethane rear wheel.

Weight and maximum load:

The Razor E125 Scooter weighs 32 pounds. Due to its light weight it’s easy for kids to haul around. It can carry a load of 120 pounds. Razor recommended the E125 for children age 8 and older, but I would advise this E125 from age 10 and up. If you have an 8 year old your better of with the E100.

Features of the Razor E125 Electric Scooter:
