Best Electric Scooter With A Seat
The Best Electric Scooters With a Seat (For 2023)
If you have been on the hunt for the best electric scooter with a seat, then you’ve come to the right place.
I’m Terry and I test various electric scooters and post the reviews on my site here.
I have spent many hours rigorously testing, researching, and reviewing various electric scooters to answer the question: which one is the best electric scooter with a seat?
Although there are numerous electric scooters on the market, most models don’t offer a seat.
That’s the reason I have tested the 4 electric scooters with a seat that I thought would be the best ones, so this review should help you narrow down your search and make an informed decision.
The whole reason I started this website was that (like you now probably) I was unsure which model of an electric scooter was right for me at that time, so I took to the internet but none of the websites I found online helped me choose one, because all I found was a top 10 this and a top 20 that with a few generic numbers…
That is why I do things a bit differently and I break down each model and put them in categories that make it easier to pick a winner. I wish I had found a website like mine at the time I was searching online for an electric scooter that would fit my needs.
But enough about me and this site, let’s dive into the reviews: I have put all electric scooters with a seat I found into 4 categories:
- A powerhouse that goes everywhere, even off-road, is super fast and has big wheels and an awesome design
- A great commuter
- A budget-friendly option that is light foldable and cheap
- A scooter that offers long range
If you are in a hurry you can find the winner

Quick buyers guide for electric scooters with a seat
An electric scooter with a seat: what are the advantages?
It goes without saying that a seat is suitable for sitting comfortably! However, with an electric scooter with a seat, or a sit-down scooter for adults, you can choose whether you prefer to stand or sit. That is particularly nice when you cover longer distances with your electric scooter.
Standing up constantly can be just a bit too tiring for many people. Some electric scooters also have a seat that is collapsible. This way you can choose whether you want to use the seat, or whether you prefer to stand.
Please also note that in some countries in the EU, for example, electric scooters with a seat are regarded as motorcycles and must, therefore, be registered as such.
What do you need to pay attention to when buying an electric scooter with a seat?
So many people, so many wishes and desires. That is why there are also more and more different electric scooter models on the market. With or without a seat, for example. But electric scooters with seats can also differ a lot in terms of features and specifications.
For example, you can prefer a scooter that is completely foldable. This way you can easily store it and take it with you on the go.
Also, power differs on an electric scooter. Some scooters have enormous power so that you can gain some momentum and drive up a hill more easily.
The battery is also very decisive, as it depends on the battery how long the scooter can last before you have to recharge it again. The Dualtron X above for example just keeps on going and going.
The time it takes for the scooter to recharge can also be important to you. There are scooters that are already charged in 1 or 2 hours, but there are many more powerful models that you have to charge for at least 6 hours. If you’re working 8 hours straight that’s not a problem, but if you only work say 4 hours you need to take this into consideration.
We hope that we were able to help you find the best electric scooter with a seat with our extensive reviews higher up on the page.
